Introducing our first product

Atlas

An AI-native home interface designed around context, character and control.

Atlas is being developed as a persistent home interface that brings smart-home controls, environmental context, conversational intelligence and an embodied character into one coherent system.

01 / The experience
More than a smart display

A home interface.
A sense of context.

Smart homes often feel like disconnected apps, dashboards and voice commands. Atlas explores how those pieces can become an understandable, shared experience.

Context

Useful at a glance.

The prototype combines selected home controls, weather-aware presentation and anonymous presence behavior. Richer household context and memory are in development.

Character

An interface with presence.

A real-time 3D Atlas character is integrated into the wall experience. Movement and acknowledgement help communicate attention; locomotion polish continues.

Control

Human authority stays clear.

Selected lighting and media controls already work through a deterministic, allowlisted interface. AI-mediated consequential actions are a later phase.

02 / Trust by architecture

Reasoning is separate from authority.

Atlas is being designed so that more capable AI does not quietly gain more control over the home. These principles guide the architecture.

Models propose. Policy authorizes.

A model may interpret a request or suggest an action. A separate security boundary is intended to check permission before consequential actions can proceed. The first typed security contract is implemented; full enforcement infrastructure is in development.

Recognition personalizes.
Authentication authorizes.

Anonymous presence can shape presentation today. Planned opt-in recognition may personalize the experience, but recognition alone will not grant consequential authority.

A shared wall needs shared-safe information.

The design separates what the room may see or hear from what an authenticated person may do. A guest nearby should not cause private household information to appear or be spoken aloud.

Local systems remain authoritative.

Atlas integrates with Home Assistant for current device state and deterministic control. The architecture is intended to keep approved manual and local operation useful when AI services are unavailable.

Uncertainty should stay visible.

Unknown is not false. Stale is not current. Atlas is being designed to report uncertainty or abstain when required information is missing, rather than silently guessing.

03 / Current development

Built, not just imagined.

Status / October 7, 2026

Native Android terminal

Accessible wall-terminal software with clear interaction states and reduced-motion handling.

Working prototype

Real-time 3D Atlas

Walk, jog and run are integrated. Locomotion polish and some direction-aware turns remain in progress.

Working prototype

Home Assistant controls

Selected lighting and media controls work. Security-sensitive devices are excluded.

Selected controls implemented

Anonymous local presence

Presence shapes presentation. No identity recognition, image storage or cloud camera path. Validation continues.

Prototype implemented · validation in progress

Weather-aware presentation

Weather-aware readability is implemented. A fully live environment coupled to Atlas behavior is still in development.

Foundation implemented

Typed security contract

The reference contract is implemented and tested. Full enforcement and executors remain in development.

Version 1 implemented

Voice interaction

Voice interaction is in development for real wall-mounted home conditions.

In development

Atlas Core context & memory

Provider-neutral household context and canonical memory are planned and in development.

In development

AI-mediated actions

A later phase connects model proposals to bounded actions through Security Core.

Later development

Showing all 9 milestones. Atlas is a development prototype and is not available for purchase or installation in other homes.

04 / The direction

From disconnected tools to one coherent environment.

A development sequence.
No promised release dates.

The longer-term vision brings home status, environment, conversation and embodiment together—while keeping privacy boundaries and human authority clear.

Foundation / Underway

The wall experience

A calm, accessible terminal, an expressive character and deterministic manual controls.

Next / In development

Security & context

Enforcement infrastructure, credential separation and carefully governed household memory.

Planned / In development

Voice & reasoning

Measured voice interaction and replaceable reasoning providers with purpose-limited context.

Later / Directional

Personalization & assistance

Opt-in profiles, private handoff and bounded AI actions. Broad proactivity comes after household testing.

05 / About Jonesarita

Independent.
Thoughtful by design.

Jonesarita is an early-stage, bootstrapped technology venture exploring how trustworthy AI can become part of the physical environments people live in.

Atlas is the first and current flagship product. The work is ambitious, and the stage is early: a working prototype, clear design principles and a deliberate path toward a more useful home interface.
